Admission Procedure

Admissions to PM SHRI Government Model Senior Secondary School, Mandi are conducted strictly in accordance with the guidelines and norms prescribed by the Department of Education, Government of Himachal Pradesh and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The school follows a transparent, fair, and student-centric admission process to ensure equal educational opportunities for all learners.

General Admission Guidelines

  • Admission is open to all students without discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, religion, or gender.

  • The admission process generally commences in the month of March–April, subject to government instructions.

  • Admissions are granted based on eligibility criteria, availability of seats, and submission of required documents.

Class-wise Admission

  • Primary & Middle Classes: Admission is granted as per age criteria and norms laid down by the Education Department.

  • Secondary Classes (IX–X): Admission is based on previous academic performance and CBSE regulations.

  • Senior Secondary Classes (XI–XII): Admission is granted as per merit, CBSE norms, and availability of seats in the chosen stream.

Documents Required

  • Duly filled Admission Form

  • Birth Certificate issued by a competent authority

  • Transfer Certificate (TC) from the previous school

  • Previous Class Report Card / Mark Sheet

  • Aadhaar Card of the student (if applicable)

  • Recent passport-size photographs

Transfer & Migration

  • Students seeking admission from schools affiliated to boards other than CBSE must submit a valid Migration Certificate, especially for admission to Class XI.

  • A Transfer Certificate is mandatory for all transferred students.

Important Instructions

  • Admission will be confirmed only after verification of original documents.

  • Incomplete or incorrect information may lead to cancellation of admission.

  • The decision of the school authorities regarding admission shall be final and binding.
